Who We Are

SSWOCO — Protecting Women & Children
2011 Founded

South Sudan Widows & Orphans Charitable Organization SSWOCO

A non-governmental and non-profit making National Organization formed in 2011 by a group of women who were concerned and touched by the suffering of marginalized women and children. SSWOCO seeks to support the development and protection of these vulnerable groups, promote and advocate for policies that favour their rights, improve their status and enhance their decision-making capacity at all levels.

We believe education is the key to unlocking the potential and hidden treasures in children — particularly girls — and we work to remove the barriers that prevent their participation and access to education. As a women-led organization, we promote peaceful coexistence, peace building and conflict transformation across our communities.
