United Nations Mission in South Sudan has reported violence among some displaced people of different groups at Malakal PoCs triggered by the ongoing fighting in Tunga and neighboring Panyikang County in Upper Nile State.

The new displacement has put a toll on women and children who are in need of the most urgent humanitarian assistance.

The insecurity has created new humanitarian challenges as aids agencies need to intensify relief operations to meet the dire humanitarian needs of the displaced civilians currently taking shelter at the UN established protection of civilian sites in Malakal Upper Nile State.
