WOCO through its field based staff conducts business skill training to selected beneficiaries in Aburoch IDPs camp in Fashoda county upper Nile state. The training is to enable members of the community to explore alternative livelihood options such as small scale business in order to improve the socio economic and psychosocial lives of the people in the camp.  At least 606 of Aburoch 8,452 populations of Aburoch live in IDPs camps since 2013.

Over 8.9 million people (including 4.6 million children) are estimated to be in need some forms of humanitarian assistance and protection in South Sudan in 2022 according to the United Nation Children Agency, UNICEF.

Income Generating Activities for small scale businesses will enable people to reduce and alleviate poverty and raise their living standards as well.

The war that began in 2013 had devastating consequences on women and children. Some woman lost their sources of livelihood such as businesses or livelihood options.

The training was meant to strengthen participant’s knowledge and skills to effectively and efficiently explore livelihood other livelihood options and to boost their existing businesses after experiencing great loss during the war.
